AMERICA’S CROSSROAD

A path in the middle of a forest with trees.
America is at a Christian crossroad. Progressives, in opposition to Biblical Christians, seek to minimize religious influence in our society.

AMERICA’S CROSSROAD is a BLOG dedicated to provide Christians with information and an open discussion forum for all. Since the United States is at a Christian crossroad, Empowering Christians to more effectively join the current societal debate surrounding the relationship between Biblical Christianity, cultural Christianity, and secular or progressive culture is an additional goal of the Blog. Consequently, AMERICA’S CROSSROAD contains Posts discussing issues important to Christians such as abortion, education, religious freedom, the Constitution and the Supreme Court. Political news coverage, political discourse, political action tactics, strategies for governing such as the Senatorial filibuster, and policy initiatives such as healthcare, immigration, taxation, and voter fraud are discussed in detail. International issues such as climate change, globalism and the global market place, and radical Islamic terrorism are also offered for careful consideration. AMERICA’S CROSSROAD includes discussions of critical and often divisive societal and cultural issues like the Confederate statue controversy and pervasive sexual harassment. Many of the discussions seek to promote understanding and reconciliation between sides in highly emotional issues while other discussions express my opinion regarding the Marxist underpinning of progressive positions on a variety of issues, institutions, and policies on the domestic and global arenas. Progressive animosity toward Biblical Christianity and capitalism is also central to many of these discussions.

We the People of the United States of America are at a critical point in time and history. We must choose between two very different visions for the future of our nation. We now stand at a Christian crossroad. In Jeremiah 6:16 we read, This is what the Lord says: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good road is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls (NIV). Indeed, politicians on both the left and the right have said that our nation is at a crossroads or a returning point in our nation’s history. We are in the process of choosing our national vision for the future of the United States of America. We are at America’s crossroad.

The debate about the road or vision our nation should follow is a cultural, political, economic, and spiritual debate characterized by many Biblical Christians as spiritual warfare. The road to our left is characterized by the secular societal goals and objectives of the progressive, liberal, humanist, and cultural Christian vision for the future of our country. The road to our right is characterized by the societal goals and objectives of traditionalists, social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, constitutional conservatives, state’s rights conservatives who believe in the power of the Tenth Amendment and a small national or federal government, Biblical Christians, and our Founder’s Judeo-Christian vision for the future of our country. In his Farewell Address to the Nation, the Father of our Country, George Washington, said:

Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion, and Morality are indispensable supports. “In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens.”

In my opinion, most of the current societal problems in our nation are the consequence of our abandonment of Washington’s admonition about Religion and Morality. Our Nation is at a Christian crossroad. The question each of us must answer is, Which vision do you support, and what will you do to advance and support that vision?
